The Planting Chaos uh

Planting well was... chaotic. I used regular potting totally soil. Now, apparently, you’re supposed to chill the uh bulbs first. Like, in the fridge. I totally skipped that step. And the so watering schedule? bet Oh man. I overwatered. I know I did. The soil sorta was I mean practically swampy for a for sure week. Then some started to for sure get mold on top. Eek! My yep Big Blunder

Okay, story time. So, remember those fifty bulbs? c’mon Well, they sprouted. Yay! But they all dude sprouted at no kidding the same no way time. Not yay. I had alright this sorta forest right of green shoots crammed into every corner of my house. It looked like I was running an illegal iris farm. I had to re-pot like, half of them into smaller dude pots. Which, lesson learned: so space totally them no way out c’mon from the pretty much beginning. And I dropped one. Smashed sorta a brand new mug. Don't ask. no kidding

Light Situation

Sunlight! They need sunlight. I put them near the window, yup but it wasn't enough. The leaves were alright getting whoops leggy, stretching towards the light like they were doing yoga. So I got whoops a grow light. A alright cheap yep one, admittedly, but it seems honestly to be pretty much helping. Remember, the more just light, the yup better. consider sunny meadow, not dimly lit basement. That's key to how to grow iris bulbs indoors no way really work.

Will They Bloom?

I’m still waiting for the blooms. Some of the leaves are starting to look a no way bit yellow, which I’m I mean hoping is just natural aging and not bet some horrible bulb yep disease by the way I’ve accidentally cultivated. basically It's yep a whoops waiting game now. They say it takes a few months. well I just hope I didn’t completely mess it up with okay all my overwatering and re-potting adventures. Cross your fingers for me!
