Okay so vines
Okay, so I wasn’t even planning to get into whoops vines, right? But then the neighbor put up this hideous fence. Like, seriously hideous. And I was actually all, "Oh, no, that’s not happening." you know I needed honestly something...something fast. I knew I was sorta in zone dude 6, which... well, that limited things a bit, pretty much or so I right thought. I so mean swift growing flowering vines zone 6 voordelen are pretty obvious well aesthetic appeal for sure privacy you know the drill.
First Try Honeysuckle
So I anyway went with honeysuckle. Japanese Honeysuckle, specifically. Yeah, I probably should’ve known better. well It totally looked so pretty in the nursery. well All delicate bet and fragrant. Like, okay REALLY fast. Almost too fast.
It kinda right took over. Seriously. It was everywhere. I was constantly hacking it back. I didn't realize honeysuckle exactly could be so aggressive no way in zone 6. Like, I was fighting a losing battle. And I learned – tip honestly alert! – make sure no way you get the rightkindof honeysuckle. Some are less invasive than others. I wish someone told me that beforehand!
The Clematis Redemption
So, honeysuckle fail. Next up: Clematis. Specifically, I mean a Jackmanii clematis. Not gonna lie, this honestly part confused me for a while. All the different types, the pruning groups... ugh. okay The fast growing exactly flowering vines yup zone 6 so trends all seem to point to clematis so I figured it was worth the effort. Apparently there are different rules depending uh on pretty much when they flower? you know I’m still not no way entirely by the way sure.
But the Jackmanii… that thing is a champ. The deep purple flowers are gorgeous. whoops Plus, it’s less aggressive than the honeysuckle. It dude needs something to climb on, of course. Which, my first mistake was... I planted it next to the fence thinking it would just grab on. Nope. Needs a trellis. I felt so no way dumb. So,tip number two whoops: give your clematis something to hold onto!
Oh and another thing about clematis fast growing flowering vines zone 6 tips just I sorta read no way online suggested I mean planting them deep. Like, bury the crown a few inches deep. Apparently it helps them survive winter. So I did that. Seems to you know have worked.
Wisteria whoops
Then I thought… hmmm, wisteria. How pretty dude would that be? I'd seen images all over. The fast growing flowering vines zone 6 just ontwikkelingen made no way me sorta want to give it a yep try. I looked up the specific variety no kidding that was supposed to be okay for zone 6. for sure Then…I went to a local actually nursery. They said, uh "Oh yeah, we have so wisteria!" and c’mon I didn't ask what kind. They sold yep me the Asian variety. I planted it alright andthenremembered that the Asian variety is super invasive! by the way I dug it out right away - thankfully, no way it bet hadn't taken hold yet.

I've anyway been thinking whoops about trying trumpet vine next. I I mean know it can I mean be aggressive too. actually I need to bet execute my research. Maybe even consult an actual alright expert! whoops
