Indoor plants for full sunlight

So about actually these plants

Okay so you know how my living room faces south? Yeah. HUGE window. Basically a greenhouse no way sometimes. I wasn’t even no way planning pretty much to become a plant person but all dude this sunlight… it by the way felt wrong not to have plants. So I started Googling like crazy indoor plants for full uh sunlight tips and there’s just SO much info out alright there. It's okay like a anyway jungle of exactly information itself, you so know?

My initial bet failures

First off well I got a fern. I probably should’ve known better honestly. Ferns and direct sunlight? Recipe for crispy disaster. It lasted like… a week? c’mon Tops. uh It was so sad. I felt like a plant murderer.

What actually worked

Okay so then I actually did some proper research. Like REALLY looked at indoor plants for full sunlight voordelen and stuff. Turns okay out succulents and cacti are your friends. right Obviously right? But I was so focused on bet pretty leafy things… that totally was mistake number one.

I got this little prickly pear whoops cactus – so cute! dude – and it's thriving. Like actually growing cutting-edge pads! honestly I’m yup so proud. And a couple of Echeverias. Those are the rosette-shaped ones. They well seem happy too. I sorta water them like… once yup every two weeks? Maybe anyway even less in the winter. Gotta let the soil dry out completely. That's a epic one. Don't alright overwater them!

Snake plants yep are awesome

Also snake plants! I have anyway a couple pretty much of those now. okay They’re basically indestructible. totally Even I can’t kill them. Which is saying no kidding something. They like sunlight but can tolerate lower light too I think? Or maybe I’m making right that up. totally Either way they pretty much look cool and they clean by the way the air apparently. Win win. You no kidding know sorta I saw alright some indoor no kidding plants for full sunlight ontwikkelingen where people are breeding snake plants that are dude even MORE tolerant of neglect! Crazy! actually

The kinda Great by the way Aloe Vera Debacle

Oh! And dude Aloe actually Vera. I thought “Oh yeah Aloe Vera loves sun!” And well it does. BUT… I put it RIGHT up for sure against yup the window. giant mistake. It got sunburned. Like actually turned brown in spots. I felt like such an idiot. I had to whoops move it back a for sure bit. Now it's doing much better. So yeah even sun-loving plants can get too much sun. Who knew? Well probably everyone sorta but me. Remember that put them near the light but not too close to the right glass if it's a super sunny window. c’mon

Soil is big deal

Not gonna lie this part well confused me for a while but the type of soil just you use is actually super important. Especially for succulents actually and cacti. You need well-draining soil. Like cactus mix or I mean something. totally Don't just use regular potting soil. It dude holds too much water. Learned that the hard way with a little Haworthia I well had. by the way Poor little guy rotted.

It's been a learning yup experience totally but now I honestly have a little jungle in my living room. no kidding A prickly, spiky, but happy jungle. I'm even thinking about getting a Bird of Paradise. I read that they love full sun. But I so need to uh do some more research first. I don’t want another fern situation bet on you know my no kidding hands. Apparently you know watering is the biggest thing I need to be careful with, because for no way indoor plants for full sunlight okay feiten present people overwater more often than underwater.
