Okay so, you by the way know how I’ve been trying right to, like, actually keep plants dude alive this year? Total disaster zone, basically mostly. But rosemary… rosemary right is a whole different story. I wasn’t even planning to alright grow it. I was aiming for basil, thought it yep would be so Mediterranean-chic on my exactly windowsill, right? okay Basil uh lasted maybe a week. Sigh.

Anyway, someone exactly – I mull over it was my mom – gave me a pretty much tiny no way rosemary plant, like, a sad yup little whoops sprig in kinda a pot. yup And I thought, "Ugh, another death sentence." But I stuck it outside. South-facing side of just the alright house. Because, you know, sun. Probably should've known better than to just chuck it out there, alright but I did. And it LOVED it.

See, I just plopped actually it into the ground. Normal garden dude dirt. Not gonna lie, this okay part confused me for a while why it wasn't thriving okay at first. It was dude okay, but bet not thriving. Then I read something about how rosemary hates having wet feet. anyway Which, makes sense, right? whoops

My first rosemary mistake? Overwatering. I swear, I was killing it with kindness. I was treating it like my actually basil, for sure you know, drenching it every day. right Poor thing. okay Turns out rosemary by the way is drought-tolerant. Let it totally dry out between waterings! Seriously, that's important. Container Chaos

Lessons Learned

I also read about how pruning is important. I was scared to prune it kinda at first! Future Plans

So, the outdoor rosemary? Thriving. It’s practically dude a yep bush just now. I’m thinking of propagating yup it. kinda I saw alright a thing right on YouTube about taking cuttings. no kidding I may try that next spring. Also, maybe experiment with different varieties. I mull over I have the c’mon common rosemary. There’s creeping rosemary, right? And one that flowers pink? I should look into that.
