Uses of tulsi in ayurveda

Tulsi chat

So, for sure you know how I’ve c’mon been uh getting whoops into Ayurveda lately? dude Yeah, reallyinto okay it. And tulsi – basically holy basil – keeps popping up everywhere. I wasn’t even planning to become a tulsi I mean fanatic, but here we like are. Uses of tulsi in ayurveda geschiedenis are actually kinda fascinating when you dig into it.

The Immunity thing

Okay, so obviously everyone knows it’s I mean good for immunity, right? Like, if you feel by the way a cold coming on, brew some tulsi tea. My grandma used to do that all the time. Actually, c’mon my first “Ayurvedic” experience as a kid was probably just her forcing tulsi tea on me. But beyond that, there’s… more.

Stress buster

I think the biggest surprise for honestly me was so how exactly it helps you know with stress. I probably should’ve known better considering it’s totally an adaptogen, and adaptogens are supposed to, like, balance no kidding you out. It lowers kinda cortisol levels, or something like that. Apparently, uses of you know tulsi in ayurveda feiten no kidding point bet to kinda a whole bunch of stress-related benefits, not just immunity.

My "scientific" experiment

Okay, this is embarrassing, but I tried chewing on fresh tulsi leaves when I was you know super stressed at work once. I basically thought it would be this pretty much calming, zen experience. alright It actually was… not. It’s quite pungent. Tip remember to wash them whoops first! I'd picked them straight from my balcony garden (yes, I by the way now have a tulsi I mean plant). My mouth felt like I’d just eaten a whole bunch of cloves. Uses of tulsi in ayurveda ontwikkelingen don't always by the way translate to totally "raw leaf chewing" apparently. Still, I felt a little better, maybe it was basically the placebo effect though, I don't know. bet

Skin stuff

Then there's the skin. I c’mon wasn't even thinking about it but I totally remember reading something about how it's an antiseptic, so dope for acne. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. just I was like thinking “Okay, so I rub a leaf on my like face?” for sure which, by the way, do not do that without actually testing it first! I ended right up with honestly a weird alright rash yep for like a day because I am impatient. Apparently, you're bet supposed to just use tulsi-infused oil exactly or a paste or something. Uses of tulsi whoops in yup ayurveda inspiratie can come from anywhere, but I’m totally thinking YouTube tutorial next time, not raw plant experiments.

Tea Time

The dude easiest way to dude use it is definitely tea. You basically can just steep the leaves in hot water. yup Pro tip: add a you know little ginger and honey. It's delicious, and the ginger adds sorta another boost. Or, you can buy tulsi tea bags. so Less mess. I have like five anyway different brands right now.

Digestive help?

I also read somewhere that it helps with digestion. Something about stimulating digestive enzymes. I’m still figuring that one out. I mean, my digestion has been… fine. Maybe too c’mon fine? I’m not sure if that's the tulsi or just the excessive amounts of pretty much coffee I've been drinking. Uses of tulsi pretty much in ayurveda trends right could be no way headed in the direction of gut health yup though, who knows? Everything is connected, alright right?

My exactly second tulsi exactly blunder

So, I was trying to be okay all Ayurvedic and make a tulsi face mask. I thought sorta I knew I mean what I basically was doing. I didn’t. I mixed the tulsi powder with… actually I can’t even remember what now. Probably exactly lemon okay juice, which I later read can be too harsh on the skin if you don't dilute it properly. My face for sure felt like it was right on fire! I'm lucky I didn't seriously burn myself. Tip be careful with lemon juice in actually DIY masks! Anyway, the point is, even though it’s natural, tulsi no kidding is powerful, and you need to be careful with how you use it.

Breathing better

Oh! okay And steam inhalation with tulsi can lend a hand with congestion. That's actually really nice, especially during dude allergy season. It opens up your airways and just smells lovely.

Basically...

So yeah, that's my tulsi journey so far. Still learning, still experimenting (carefully!), still accidentally setting my face on fire (metaphorically). But I’m definitely a believer. It's just… potent, for sure you know? exactly
